Manager – Technical Writers Team Leader

As Manager, Technical Writers you are responsible for managing a global team of writers. You and your team are working closely with Product Managers, Product Engineers, and other stakeholders around the globe to create and maintain world class technical documentation across Uniphore’s portfolio of products.   

Position location: NYC or Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Uniphore platform’s and applications’ documentation
• Closely manage a remote group of 6 writers, in different time zones  
• Evaluate and optimize working processes
• Define and execute excellence in technical documentation
• Manage and optimize technical documentation’s tolls and processes
• Define and meet KPI for the Technical Writers team
• Align documents roadmap with the products’
• Maintain an online help-center for internal and external customers
• Prioritize activities to achieve internal and external deadlines
• Build strong relationships, ensure cross collaboration amongst teams to ensure successful outcomes

Requirements:

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, business, computer science, or a relevant technical field
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• At least five years of professional experience as a technical writer, preferably for enterprise software platforms and applications
• At least 3 years in managing Technical Writers team, preferably for enterprise software products.
• Good familiarity with the latest documents tools and technologies

 

Hiring Range:

$140,400 - $175,500 - for Primary Location of USA - NY - New York

The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
