Summary 

The Technical Publication Specialist will assist in the responsibility for both the daily operations and the ongoing improvement of the company’s technical publications to help support communication across the organization and to the customers. This position should possess both a strong technical background and be able to effectively communicate with the business to ensure that that we have clear and consistent information for the customer. Must be detail oriented and have a passion for organization, process control, collaboration, and above all excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Work closely with internal and functional teams, to support product documentation
• Work closely with engineering to understand changes and how implementation should be accomplished to ensure part changes are depicted in manuals as needed
• Other duties may be assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Work in fast-paced environment, juggling projects, handling multiple issues at once
• Performing detail-oriented work requiring high levels of accuracy
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees
• Strong desire to learn

Preferred Skills and Qualifications 

• Education - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year College or university preferred and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field
• Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.
• Experience and understanding of heavy trucks and heavy equipment is a plus

Working Conditions 

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Works between an office and plant environment with exposure to varying degrees of temperatures and noise. 
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time including overnight stays

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and walking to move about the facility
• Attendance - The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary to meet business demands.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
