You Are:

A Documentation Engineer who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven. We are looking to add exceptional and experienced employees to our Construction Services Department based out of our Peoria, IL office.


You Will:

  • Plan, directs, and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  • Review contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Schedule due dates for drawings, specifications, software and other documents.
  • Monitor status of project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule.
  • Review and verifies project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Submit project documentation to management for approval and transmits approved documents to Client.
  • Confer with engineers, managers, customers, and others to discuss project, prepare documents, or modify contract schedules.
  • Serve as the liaison with Client and Project Manager on project matters.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, standards and details.
  • Read and interpret material QC/QA Manuals.
  • Maintain accurate data base for all collected data in the client’s required method and format.
  • Use the required software for documentation of construction, as required by the client.
  • Perform other duties as required by Department Managers or Project Managers.


You Have:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related fields- Preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction engineering/inspection industry
  • Valid Driver's License- Required (Proof must be provided at time of interview)
  • Applicable training and certifications related to construction management
  • Computer skills and knowledge in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Schedule and other Windows-based software, ICORS and MISTIC is preferred
  • The ability to exercise good judgment
  • The ability to effectively present recommendations and results
  • Good oral and written communication skills
